The position involves performing clerical and other tasks related to the processing and generation of laboratory results within and outside of the hospital. The role requires handling specimens, entering demographics into instruments and computers, transporting specimens, preparing specimens for sending out to private labs, and maintaining written logs. The individual will also perform maintenance of lab information systems and equipment, maintain files, collect and sort reports, and generate blood collection. The position requires working rotating weekends and maintaining compliance with policies and procedures necessary to meet the standards of accrediting agencies.
