Job Summary Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facilities department. Provides daily control over data input sources, report generation, and information/documentation control.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Secretarial experience 3-5 years required
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and controls all department correspondence.
  • Inputs and updates the hospital’s preventative maintenance program and issues all related work orders.
  • Responsible for scheduling meetings and inspections for department staff members.
  • Orders equipment and stock to adequately supply various shops such as electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Updates and maintains department policy and procedure manuals as required by the JCAHO, state, and local agencies.
  • Reports equipment in need of repair, such as elevators, fire alarm systems, etc., to appropriate service companies and follow through with outstanding work orders.
