About The Position

Animal Emergency Clinic in Grand Terrace, CA is an AAHA-accredited emergency veterinary hospital with over 50 years of service to the Inland Empire community. Our dedicated and highly skilled emergency team provides outstanding after-hours care, with plans to expand to 24/7 services in the near future. As a Per Diem employee, you’ll have the opportunity to pick up various shifts each week and month. You’ll be a valued part of a highly collaborative and dedicated team of Veterinary professionals. Per Diem employees must work at least 2 shifts per month.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1+ year of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting required
• Recent graduates with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology will be considered
• CVT, LVT, or VTS desired but not required
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Work well independently and in a team environment
• Strong computer skills to work with a paperless information system
• Flexible, cooperative, dependable, responsible, and good time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Assist ER veterinarians with advanced procedures and patient care
• Perform technical skills
• Monitor anesthetized and recovering patients
• Accurately document treatments and observations
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked clinical areas
• Contribute to a positive and professional team environment
