The Cardiology Lab Echo/Doppler technician is responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound studies, and when not occupied with those duties, acts as the administrative and technical support for all procedures provided by the cardiology lab. These procedures include EKGs, Holter monitoring, stress echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms, trans-thoracic echocardiograms, satellite test transmissions and result coordination You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited program
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS or CCI)
  • BCLS certification
  • 1+ years of direct clinical experience in all phases of echocardiography. Demonstrated ability to perform echocardiography studies to the satisfaction of the Kelsey-Seybold Cardiologists OR will accept graduates with 6 months clinical rotations through an accredited echo sonography program and hiring department can provide direct supervision for 3 months. Applicant must demonstrate ability to perform echocardiography studies to the satisfaction of the Kelsey-Seybold Cardiologists
  • Basic computer, CRT, and typing experience
  • May be required to work extended shifts in situations deemed necessary by the Cardiology Lab Supervisor or the Exercise Physiologist Coordinator

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of an accredited echo cardiographer training program
  • 2+ years of experience performing echocardiography
  • GE Ultrasound, Phillips Ultrasound
  • Speaks an additional language
  • Willing to cross train to support other Cardiology Lab functions and expand services
