About The Position

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is dedicated to ending cancer for life through specialized care, innovative translational and clinical research, and training the next generation of scientists and clinicians. MSK is seeking a Per Diem CT Technologist to join their outpatient center in Uniondale, NY, which provides world-class cancer care in a patient and family-focused setting. This role involves performing a variety of CT and general X-ray imaging procedures on patients of all age groups with minimal supervision. The technologist will operate CT scanners and associated equipment safely, explain procedures to patients, monitor their safety and comfort, administer contrast media according to protocols, conduct imaging in compliance with quality standards, accurately document information in MSK and Radiology systems, and support general radiology procedures as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree / Certified Vocational Training or Graduate from a 2-year AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography (CT).
  • New York Department of Health License in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • IV Certification required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 years of CT experience preferred, including experience with GE imaging systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of CT and general X-ray imaging procedures on patients of all age groups with minimal supervision.
  • Operate CT scanners and associated equipment safely, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients and monitor patient safety and comfort throughout exams.
  • Administer contrast media (IV and/or oral) following established protocols.
  • Conduct imaging in compliance with departmental protocols and quality standards.
  • Accurately enter documentation into all MSK and Radiology systems.
  • Support general radiology procedures as needed.
