This per diem opportunity can include weekdays and weekends. What to expect. The Crisis Assessment Clinician provides emergency psychiatric services to adults and children presenting to the GBMC Emergency Department. This role delivers comprehensive psychiatric assessments, crisis interventions, and collaborative care planning for patients with behavioral health needs, including mental health and substance use disorders. The clinician works both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, nurses, and other behavioral health staff—to ensure safe, patient-centered care, while maintaining compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
