Job Description Exciting Opportunity at MSK: We are looking for talented nurses to join MSK's Emergency Center! The Emergency Center provides emergent and comprehensive patient-centered care to MSKCC’S patients, families, and staff 24 hours, 7 days a week. Patients are triaged/evaluated, and a decision is made to admit, discharge, or place a patient in observation status in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU). Emergency Oncology - Urgent Care Center MSK’s Emergency Room (ER) operates 24/7, managing 80–100 patients daily. This unit does not handle trauma or 911 calls but provides urgent care for registered MSK patients. Once stabilized, patients are typically transferred to Cornell. The ER functions with ICU, Stepdown, Telemetry, and Med/Surg capabilities, and admits about 50% of its patients. Role Overview: Implement the nursing process for medical and surgical patients requiring intensive monitoring and nursing interventions in our Urgent Care Center. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to facilitate continuity of care. Provide outstanding patient-centered care to our patients and unregistered patients. Deliver care to employees who are injured on the premises.
