Position Summary We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Per Diem Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will assist in the implementation of treatment plans designed to help residents improve their ability to perform daily activities and maintain independence.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of California.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- CPR certification (BLS) required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work per diem hours, including weekends and holidays as needed

- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Carry out occupational therapy treatment plans as developed by the Occupational Therapist.
- Guide residents through therapeutic activities to improve motor skills, coordination, and daily living functions.
- Observe and document resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist.
- Accurately record treatments and resident responses in the electronic medical record system.
- Support the interdisciplinary care team in developing effective rehabilitation strategies.
- Ensure resident safety and comfort during therapy sessions.
- Adhere to facility protocols, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
