The PeopleSoft ERP Administrator is responsible for managing ERP environments, including the installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of all components across the web, application, integration, and batch tiers. This role includes performing tools and application (PUM) upgrades, patching, running Change Assistant and compare reports, building and executing DMS, SQL, or Linux shell scripts, code migrations, and performance tuning. The ERP System Administrator collaborates closely with management, functional/development teams, infrastructure groups, and business units to ensure project objectives are met and performance requirements are maintained. Strong troubleshooting and research skills are essential to resolve application issues, manage projects, and coordinate with the vendor for potential bug fixes. Some activities, such as patching, upgrades, production releases, and on-call rotation, may require after-hours execution to ensure system health, minimize downtime, facilitate team communication, and maintain timely resolution of alerts and activities.
