About The Position
Internships at UnitedHealth Group offer a transformative experience that can significantly shape your career trajectory. As a participant in the People Team Internship Program, you will engage in a 10-week immersive experience that introduces you to the culture and corporate environment of UnitedHealth Group (UHG). This internship serves as a vital pipeline to full-time opportunities within the organization, with a remarkable 80% of interns historically receiving full-time offers upon completion of the summer program. As a Graduate Intern, your role will involve providing consultative support on critical projects across UHG's corporate and Optum/UnitedHealthcare business segments. You will gain practical experience in various disciplines, including organizational design and development, change enablement, mergers and acquisitions, employee relations, reporting and analytics, talent acquisition and management, compensation and total rewards, People Team technology, talent development and learning, as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) and sustainability initiatives. In addition to your assigned responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to explore the broader People Team community. This includes participating in enterprise-wide internship programming, receiving mentorship from People Team leaders, contributing to project assignments, networking with executive leadership, and learning about potential career paths within the People Team community.
