About The Position

Block is one company built from many blocks, all united by the same purpose of economic empowerment. The blocks that form our foundational teams — People, Finance, Counsel, Hardware, Information Security, Platform Infrastructure Engineering, and more — provide support and guidance at the corporate level. They work across business groups and around the globe, spanning time zones and disciplines to develop inclusive People policies, forecast finances, give legal counsel, safeguard systems, nurture new initiatives, and more. Every challenge creates possibilities, and we need different perspectives to see them all. Bring yours to Block. • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, operationally complex environments with competing priorities and tight timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to document, maintain, and continuously improve operational processes and knowledge resources.
  • High ethical standards and sound judgment when handling confidential and sensitive employee information.
  • Collaborative team player who is flexible, proactive, and willing to support the team across a variety of tasks and initiatives.
  • Broad experience with software tools and systems, including Workday operational experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide employee lifecycle support globally by responding to employee and manager inquiries across all HR matters, according to established service level agreements and best practices.
  • Manage recurring onboarding-related activities, including Right to Work verification, I-9 reverification, and onboarding coordination.
  • Process and maintain accurate employee data in Workday for all employee changes, and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
  • Support mass data changes using EIBs, ensuring time and accurate processing of employee data changes.
  • Maintain and improve internal knowledge base content to support consistent and scalable service delivery.
  • Identify operational challenges, suggest improvements, and contribute to the development of practical improvement plans.
  • Apply an automation-first and AI-aware mindset by identifying opportunities to streamline manual workflows, improve self-service, and enhance People Operations processes.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in assigned programs, policies, or processes aligned to supported service areas.
