This is a full-time, seasonal position located on-site at our Modesto administrative office. As a Stanislaus Food Products People Operations Intern, you will learn about People Operations for our Non Union and Union team. You will provide valuable support in carrying out the day-to-day People Operations (HR) functions during our fresh-pack season, which runs from July through October. You will assist the department with a range of projects including recruiting, onboarding/orientation, scheduling, customer service, and more. Requirements

• Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Organizational Development or related field.
• At least one year experience with data entry.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within the team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Availability to work Swing or Graveyard shift, as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with HRIS (UKG a plus).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Basic understanding of this role’s disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling pre-hire screenings and new hire orientations.
• Assisting with and/or conducting new hire orientations.
• Assisting employees with self-service functions of Human Resource Information System (HRIS) database.
• Maintaining a high-quality level of data-entry accuracy entering and updating employee personnel data.
• Assisting with Employee Engagement activities, when applicable.
• Providing superior internal and external customer service in person, by email or over the phone.
• Other duties as assigned.
