About The Position

The People Operations Generalist is responsible for performing human resources related duties on a professional level and will collaborate closely with the People Operations team. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: talent acquisition/recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.

Requirements

  • Advanced PC skills with proficiency in MS Office including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance
  • Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or related field required
  • 3 - 4 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Specialist

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with Paycom software or ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS systems.
  • Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Collaborate with the people operations team to develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Conduct new hire orientation and participates in employee recognition programs
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute people operations programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale, training, and development.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and recent technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Assist with payroll processing.
  • Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the filing of the EEO-1 report annually; maintain other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Process FMLA/LOA requests in accordance with company policy and regulations.
  • Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
  • Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
  • Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
  • Other duties as assigned.
