About The Position

As the People Experience Associate at GlossGenius, you will be at the center of our employee culture and operational support, ensuring a seamless and high-touch experience for all employees from their first day forward. You will act as a vital resource working across the core pillars of the People team: People Operations, People Experience, and People Business Partners. Your efforts will directly shape the high-performance culture here at GlossGenius. You will report to the Senior Manager of People & Talent Operations and play a key role in executing our culture and engagement strategies. This role is based in our NYC headquarters (Union Square) and is required to be onsite Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a People & Talent oriented operational role, ideally within a high-growth startup environment.
  • Proven ability to manage and execute complex event logistics for both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Exceptional customer-focused attitude and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • A self-starter who is proactive, resourceful, and capable of taking ownership of tasks with minimal oversight.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to speak Spanish (functionally) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Execute New Hire Onboarding: Manage the logistical and engagement aspects of the new hire experience, including scheduling and conducting orientation sessions, ensuring all first-day requirements are met, and soliciting feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Support People Operations: Serve as an initial point of contact as needed for employee inquiries related to policies, and general HR questions, ensuring timely resolution or escalation to the appropriate People Operations Generalist or People Business Partners.
  • Lead Culture Building & Internal Events: Plan, coordinate, and execute team bonding opportunities, milestone celebrations, and other internal events (virtual and in-person) to reinforce company culture and drive engagement.
  • Manage Employee Engagement Logistics: Support the administration and rollout of employee engagement surveys, recognition programs, and internal communication efforts related to People & Talent initiatives.
  • Manage the Office Environment: Manage day-to-day office needs in NYC including coordinating supplies, managing mail, and ensuring the common areas are functional for a vibrant in-person environment.
  • Handle Ad Hoc Projects: Serve as a reliable utility player for the People & Talent team, taking on miscellaneous projects, data audits, and documentation efforts to enhance team efficiency.
  • AI Advocacy & Innovation: Serve as the team's AI advocate, proactively identifying and implementing new ideas and tools to enhance the People & Talent team's efficiency and processes.
