About the position

As the People Business Partner for our Operations team at our Suwanee, Georgia distribution center, you will play a pivotal role in shaping an inclusive and thriving workplace culture. You'll be a trusted advisor and hands-on resource, guiding employee relations with confidence and independence. As an active member of the Operations Leadership Team, you'll collaborate with leaders to develop, mentor, and empower 200+ team members. Success in this role comes from blending your business acumen with HR expertise, embracing curiosity, and finding joy in problem-solving. By fostering a high-performing, people-first culture, you'll directly influence operational efficiency, employee retention, and overall business success. Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted consultant for leaders and team members, offering guidance on company values, programs (including benefits, pay, and salary), and policies to ensure consistent and timely application.
  • Foster strong partnerships with business leaders, key stakeholders, and colleagues across the People Team, driving collaboration and alignment on impactful initiatives.
  • Lead retention strategies alongside Operations leadership and collaborate with other People leaders to share and implement best practices.
  • Provide thoughtful coaching to leaders, helping them assess talent objectively and support the growth of their teams within the distribution center.
  • Identify People-related challenges, collaborate with the Regional Director of People and Operations leaders to develop strategic solutions, and implement effective action plans.
  • Establish credibility with stakeholders through responsiveness, sound counsel, and a commitment to accessibility.
  • Communicate People-related procedures, programs, and benefits while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Guide leaders through complex employee relations matters, including conducting internal investigations, audits, and the corrective action process, while ensuring consistent and fair outcomes.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to oversee performance management, providing support in developing high-performing teams.
  • Support leadership development through stretch assignments and continuous talent-building initiatives.
  • Complete People-related administrative tasks as needed, such as managing HR metrics, workers' compensation claims, and ensuring safety and OSHA compliance.

Requirements

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust across all levels, from leaders to individual contributors and hourly team members.
  • 5+ years of human resources experience at a business partner level or above, with a focus on enhancing employee engagement and retention.
  • Proven success in managing employee relations in a fast-paced, high-volume operations environment.
  • Ability to navigate sensitive situations with discretion, work independently under pressure, and thrive amid ambiguity.
  • Experience coaching hourly employees and first-level supervisors, fostering leadership development and succession planning.
  • A history of professional growth and leadership, reflecting your commitment to excellence.
