About The Position

Hinge Health’s People Business Partner (PBP) team is seeking a strategic and empathetic People Business Partner to drive employee engagement, talent development, and a thriving organizational culture. You will serve as a critical partner to our Operations leadership team, implementing people programs that align with both employee needs and business goals. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a People Business Partner or HR Generalist role.
  • Employee Relations Mastery: Proven experience guiding managers on performance improvement, coaching, disciplinary actions, and conducting investigations.
  • Operational Excellence: Experience participating in or leading the execution of core people cycles (Performance Reviews, Engagement Surveys, Compensation Planning).
  • HR Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal/state employment laws, HR policies, and compliance requirements.
  • A Trusted Advisor: You build high-trust relationships with managers and employees alike, acting as a sounding board and a fair mediator. You are known for your discretion, empathy, and ability to navigate difficult conversations with care.
  • A Data-Driven Problem Solver: You don’t just report numbers; you analyze trends in attrition, engagement, and performance to uncover insights that drive action. You use data to tell a compelling story that influences decision-making.
  • A Resilient Operator: You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. You can "Make Results Happen" by balancing urgent employee needs with long-term strategic projects, always keeping compliance and fairness at the forefront.
  • A "Learn-it-all": You proactively stay up-to-date on HR best practices and employment laws. You are constantly looking for ways to improve internal policies and processes to create a better workplace for everyone.

Nice To Haves

  • HR Certification: PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar certification.
  • Data Proficiency: Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, Lattice) and a strong ability to analyze data to drive insights.
  • High-Growth Experience: Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth technology or healthcare environment.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to manage projects independently with limited supervision, ensuring stakeholders are aligned and deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

  • Build trust with your client group (first-level Operations leaders) and understand their unique business challenges.
  • Audit current team health metrics and effectively manage day-to-day employee relations cases with guidance.
  • Drive the execution of key people programs, including performance reviews and engagement surveys, ensuring high completion rates and quality conversations.
  • Independently resolve complex employee relations issues and partner with the Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to deliver data-backed HR solutions.
  • Become a strategic advisor for your client group, using data to influence long-term talent planning and organizational design.
  • Lead cross-functional project management efforts to enhance consistency and efficiency in our people policies, directly contributing to higher retention and engagement scores.
