Practice, support and promote the Vision Mission Statements, and Core Values of the Muckleshoot Casino Resort. Build and maintain positive relationships with all levels of designated business units and serve as hands-on subject matter experts in various People & Talent (Human Resources) functions, providing consultation and support in People/Employee Relations, Employment Law Compliance, Workforce Planning, Performance Management, and Team Member Engagement. Research, analyze, and respond to team member/management questions and/or issues through multiple channels (in-person, email, phone, chat, etc.) within required service level agreements (SLA), staff throughout the property; provide excellent guest service to team members and management. Develop a deep understanding of the designated business unit operations and functions by working side-by-side with team members and management throughout various shifts to collaborate on the development and implementation of people initiatives, programs, and strategies that effectively address engagement, workforce, and performance management. Advise, mentor, and guide designated business unit management on team member engagement, progressive guidance, and conflict resolution processes to promote a positive team member experience. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Collaborate with other areas of People & Talent on the rollout of plans, programs, and policies. Facilitate onboarding initiatives and support for management and team members to ensure consistency across the organization on People & Talent practices. Provide support relating to team member performance, performance improvement plan (PIP), and promotions and provide management recommendations. Conduct exit interviews, providing analytics and key performance metrics correlating to turnover report findings. Facilitate conflict resolution discussions; assist the People Relations team and Department Leadership with workplace investigations, analyze team member relations trends, and identify root causes of team member issues in the workplace and recommend resolutions. Administer accommodation and worker's compensation programs for various positions within designated business units. Support ad-hoc People & Talent administrative and operational activities. Create, maintain, and facilitate a positive and safe work environment; promote positive team member relations and report issues to appropriate personnel. Smile. Engage guests, team members, and vendors with a professional and friendly demeanor. Practice, support and promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Muckleshoot Casino. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, or an additional four (4) years of training/experience in lieu of degree required.
  • Four (4) years of relevant HR generalist/business partner experience in a dynamic, face-paced organization is required.
  • Extensive experience in employee relations, performance management, and employment laws (EEO, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, HIPAA, OSHA, etc.) required.
  • Demonstrate excellent and deliberate guest service and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact with guests, staff, and other departments in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner always.
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain regular attendance and work various shifts.
  • Proven strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Demonstrate advanced ability to perform complex analysis involving multiple variables and apply concepts such as percent, fractions, and ratios to generate practical solutions.
  • Demonstrate proficient computer skills, utilizing various Microsoft and other computer applications.
  • Demonstrate ability to read, analyze and interpret various reports and documents.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of employment law and understanding of tribal, federal, and gaming regulations.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to function reasonably under time constraints, within established deadlines, and with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate the ability to observe, remember details and follow directions.
