About The Position

The People and Organization Partner(P&O) (Human Resources Business Partner) works in close collaboration with the North American P&O team and company business leaders to implement P&O related projects and initiatives. Reporting into the North America P&O Business Partner Director, this role has a significant focus on Employee Relations and P&O projects and will also provide insight and solutions that add value to advance the retention and engagement objectives of Brightly Software. The right candidate will add value by conducting investigations and recommending solutions to various and complex issues. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR Business Partner experience with heavy interest in employee relations.
  • Comfort navigating in the gray, listening to multiple perspectives, and making sound judgement calls based on best practice, precedence, or legal requirements when necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a talent for balancing concise summaries of key investigation findings verbally while creating detail oriented, fact-driven, non-editorial write-ups for documentation purposes.
  • Superior professionalism with a clear understanding of what is HR confidential and what can be shared more openly.
  • High comfort level in providing respectful pushback, challenging outdated ways of thinking or managing.
  • Experience in Oracle Fusion, Workday, or other similar HRIS tools.
  • Technical competence to quickly pick up a diverse HR tool set used for employee recognition, surveys, and communication.
  • Competence in the Microsoft suite of productivity tools.
  • Growth mindset.
  • Call center experience is a plus.
  • Ability to navigate a matrixed organization and leverage the resources that are internally available.
  • Desire to want to roll up your sleeves and make a positive impact on the overall employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and educate mid-level management on P&O best practices in alignment with the Brightly employment lifecycle.
  • Act as a consultant to functional business partners, understanding their business needs to deliver complementary people solutions aligned with a pay for performance culture.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, addressing and resolving requests, concerns, and inquiries.
  • Participate in internal investigations when complaints or concerns are brought forth and escalate complex issues to P&O leadership as appropriate.
  • Conduct all North American exit interviews and facilitate follow-up feedback and coaching sessions with management.
  • Communicate key themes from exit interviews and employee interactions to the P&O team to inform employee engagement work and opportunity areas.
  • Partner closely with Managers navigating Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Warnings, offering templates, guidance, and recommendations throughout the process.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of personnel, compliance and leave policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Brightly Benefits Analyst in the administration of FMLA and Non-FMLA leaves.
  • Collaborate with the Training and Content team to create value-add training, guides, and templates for Management.
  • Partner with P&O team to process employee file changes, terminations, resignations, etc. in the HRIS system.
  • Spend time getting to know employees across all functions, learning about the unique challenges and opportunities within each team.
  • Identify gaps in processes or pain points and make recommendations on solutions.
  • Other projects and initiatives as needed.
