This key role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the People and Culture department. You will be a part of our dynamic team, delivering service with energy and enthusiasm to our internal and external guests. A strong sense of integrity, a determined character, and a positive attitude will make you the most successful candidate for the role.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a People and Culture (HR) Supervisor or Generalist.
  • A general working knowledge of labor laws (Local, State, and Federal) and union relations.
  • Experience in process development and implementation
  • Verbal and written command of the English language (multi-lingual preferred).
  • Ability to quickly and positively establish rapport.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experience with HRIS systems; Workday preferred.
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Excellent emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • U.S. work authorization is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • College education in Human Resources or Hospitality Business Management or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Preference for candidates who have experience working with Collective Bargaining Agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates all aspects of recruitment including job postings, interviews and job offers, tracking applicants and ensuring follow up.
  • Manages benefits administration and billing processes.
  • Administrates the Leave of Absence program.
  • Provides guidance and counsel to employees and managers.
  • Champions the employee experience through organization of activities, communication tools and programming including employee of the month celebrations.
  • Strategic partner with Assistant Director of People and Culture to ensure continuous growth within our hotel and team.
  • Alongside the Assistant Director, facilitates the learning and development process within the hotel.
