The Pennsylvania Game Commission is seeking motivated and dependable Dispatchers for their new dispatch center in Dauphin County. This role involves receiving, dispatching, and coordinating information in a fast-paced environment, requiring effective communication and problem-solving skills. Dispatchers will engage in general office tasks related to public service dispatching and participate in on-the-job training.

  • Receive and dispatch information in the Centralized Dispatch Center.
  • Coordinate processes related to public service dispatching.
  • Perform general office record keeping, typing, and filing duties.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and skill development.
  • Two years of dispatch operations experience, two-way radio operation experience, or complex clerical experience.
  • Possession of a valid Public Safety Telecommunicator certificate may substitute for six months of required experience.
  • Possession of a valid Pennsylvania hunting license may substitute for three months of required experience.
  • Must possess a clear, firm voice and no major speech, hearing, or visual impairments that would interfere with communication.
  • Must be able to obtain CLEAN and JNET certification within the probationary period.
  • Experience in emergency services or public safety communications.
  • Familiarity with state wildlife laws and regulations.
