We are currently seeking Transportation Construction Inspectors (TCI-1, TCI-2, TCI-3) for PennDOT projects in PennDOT District 4-0, PennDOT District 5-0, PennDOT District 8-0, and PennDOT District 6-0. The primary function of this role will be to assist in monitoring and inspecting highway / structure construction projects for the PennDOT and may include construction inspection for concrete or asphalt roadways, structures, drainage systems, guide rail, MPT, and E&S components.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with highway/structure construction inspection (TCI) with certifications to include: NICET, ACI, NECEPT Concrete, NECEPT Asphalt, IPAD/Kahua, Nuclear Gauge Certification.
• Civil Engineering Degree can be substituted for TCI experience and certifications.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Follow Specification 408, RC, BC, TC, and other standards.
• Review project plans.
• Review contract schedules.
• Complete Individual Daily Reports (IDR’s) and other needed project documentation at the end of each day utilizing an iPad.
• Prepare work orders and estimates as per the Commission Operations Manuel (COM).
