About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for performing independent and team-oriented duties related to operating the bagging line and ensuring standard safety and sanitation operating procedures and other guidelines are met to guarantee fertilizer is packaged and stacked to specification. Physical Requirements: This position is mobile in nature requiring moderate to high energy levels and occasional physical exertion. There is exposure to environmental conditions such as heat, cold, temperature changes, agricultural noise, dust, odors, and hazards usually accompanied by visits to agricultural facilities. The constant physical demands of the position are standing and walking. The constant physical demands of the position are carrying, pushing, pulling and lifting. The constant physical demands of the position are talking and hearing. Lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

Skilled in the operation of a forklift and payloader.
Competent working with appropriate computer applications (email, Excel, machine control, camera).
Ability to complete maintenance tasks such as lubrication, drive adjustments, belt tracking, machine mechanical adjustments, etc.
Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and simple electrical troubleshooting.
Strong organizational skills.
Able to perform job duties independently.
Works well as a member of a team.
