About The Position

Pella Hill Virtual Academy is seeking a candidate who would like to become a part of an educational team who prayerfully and skillfully develop students’ attitudes, skills, and subject competencies that will contribute to their spiritual development as mature, able, and responsible Christians. We are seeking a part-time Field Trip and Activities Coordinator who will be a mature, sincere, evangelical Christ follower who feels called by God to the position. We seek confirmation from our candidates that they: Have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Believe that the Bible is God’s Word and standard for faith and daily living. Agree with Pella's Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education Pella Hill employees shall reflect the purpose of the school, which is to honor Christ in every every activity, such as: Agreement and acceptance of expectations of Pella Hill staff, as outlined in the school’s Staff Handbook Cooperate with the Board of Directors and administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school Placing Pella duties ahead of other hobbies, jobs, or volunteer activities during Pella hours Maintaining a personal appearance that aligns with school policy Using acceptable English in written and oral communication; speaking with clear articulation Demonstrating the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality Representing Pella Hill favorably and professionally to parents, students, and the general public 4K-12th students in Pella Hill Virtual Academy are typically schooling at home. Pella students have an Educational Growth Plan and are monitored by Pella Hill teachers while being supported by parents/guardians.

  • Placing Pella duties ahead of other hobbies, jobs, or volunteer activities during Pella hours
  • Maintaining a personal appearance that aligns with school policy
  • Using acceptable English in written and oral communication; speaking with clear articulation
  • Demonstrating the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality
  • Representing Pella Hill favorably and professionally to parents, students, and the general public
  • Must be able to work at home and manage time well while working collaboratively in a team
  • High speed internet at home required
  • Cell phone with data plan required
  • Must be a Wisconsin resident

Responsibilities

  • Plan, publish/advertise, and manage 3 to 6 field trips per month spread around the state
  • Plan and organize two projects for students to give to parents on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day
  • Follow Pella’s preferred process for field trip protocol
  • Create field trip rosters and give to that trip’s Pella representative
  • Attend or find a Pella staff member to attend all field trips as the Pella representative
  • Track field trip attendance
  • Secure a location at or near the field trip where families can gather, most often with a sack lunch
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently to internal and external persons within 24 hours
  • Post field trip pictures on Pella approved social media
  • Manage name tag and sticker system
  • Award Spark points or coordinate their award for field trip attendance
  • Find or develop educational materials for each field trip and offer them to parents via the website. These materials should enhance each field trip, either before or after.
  • Develop creative and welcoming experiences that build anticipation and engagement at field trips, helping students feel excited to gather and connect in person. Examples may include interactive arrival activities, themed elements, or hands on learning experiences that spark curiosity and conversation.
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned
  • Promoting and supporting Pella Hill's vision, mission, and statement of faith
  • Communicating with Pella leaders, teachers, and staff
  • Attending and participating in required calendar events
  • Communicating practice and planning information with families
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned
