About The Position

The Shift Leader at Pei Wei plays a crucial role in the restaurant's success by assisting management and guiding team members. Shift Leaders are responsible for training, coaching, and ensuring adherence to company standards and procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months of shift lead experience for external candidates.
• 4 months of Pei Wei experience for internal candidates.
• Action-oriented with a commitment to the brand and team.
• Customer-focused with the ability to handle difficult situations.
• Self-motivated and passionate about team success.

Responsibilities

• Assist management in training and guiding team members.
• Perform all aspects of restaurant operations, including guest service and kitchen execution.
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and regional support.
• Act as a role model in behavior, dress, and guest interaction.
• Lead the team during shifts through coaching and delegation.
• Follow and execute shift responsibilities as outlined in the management checklist.
• Support the onboarding and training process for new team members.
• Perform cash handling procedures according to company policies.
• Handle guest relations and coach team members on improving guest experiences.
• Escalate employee relations concerns to the general manager.
• Attend all store manager meetings.
