About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Pega Systems Architect to be part of the mission solution and help lead SSA’s Digital Modernization Strategy. The Network Engineer will provide network design and life-cycle engineering expertise to support the evolution, transformation, and on-going operations. Duties include updating to new technologies, defining network topology, tuning performance, providing technical support for network problems and issues, and implementation of critical system patches and upgrades. This infrastructure may include on-premises and off-premise cloud resources. Key required skills: Experience with Pega Frameworks like Customer Service, Case Management or Decisioning. Strong understanding of Pega Rules Engine, Flows, Activities and Case Lifecycle Management. Selected candidate must be willing to work on-site in Woodlawn, MD 5 days a week. Requirements

  • Must be a certified Pega Lead System Architect (LSA)
  • BS Degree and 8+ years of experience with Web component development using modern JavaScript, CSS and CSS preprocessors such as SASS and LESS, ES 6+, and Stencil.js. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 5 years' experience in building and implementing model-driven, enterprise level business solutions and applications.
  • Experience implementing Pega Customer Service, Pega Knowledge Buddy and at least one other P product or solution
  • Experience briefing peer teams and client executives on Pega capabilities, best practices, and recommendations
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
  • Contract requirement.
  • Experience with Pega Frameworks like Customer Service, Case Management or Decisioning.
  • Strong understanding of Pega Rules Engine, Flows, Activities and Case Lifecycle Management.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in developing custom code to add capabilities not present out of the box with Pega
  • Experience supporting and administration of the Pega platform
  • Experience working with, configuring, and enhancing the Pega data model
  • Extensive expertise with various features and functionalities of the Pega platform
  • Thought leader for design and implementation of new solutions involving multiple parts of the Pega platform
  • Experience leading in Agile Practices (e.g. SAFE, Scrum)
  • Expertise in a variety of technologies, including WebShere or Weblogic, Tomcat, Apache, J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML, Java), .Net, Oracle, DB2 and MS SQL, Postgres
  • Must be a strong communicator and not just strong technically.
  • Strong organizational skills and understanding of the Project Management lifecycle
  • Prior Federal government experience.
  • Self-starter, highly motivated individual who adapts and isn't afraid to volunteer in a dynamic work environment
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to operate effectively across multiple priorities

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and translate business information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve complex business objectives
  • Establish and advise on the technical governance related domains and associated processes
  • Drive solid platform health by reviewing and guiding the remediation of configurations and customizations that do not align to Pega leading practices.
  • Work with clients and Pega team to establish delivery operating model governance to ensure successful go-lives, end-user adoption and on-going support
  • Architectures developed must prioritize Security, Governance, Risk & Compliance
  • In this role you will be required to work collaboratively with the client to understand the business needs, long-term vision, and short-term goals to create a dynamic architecture on which Pega applications and solutions can be developed on to meet those needs.
  • Guide clients down a prescriptive solution design and manage through the technical implementation decision points
  • Collaborate with the rest of the Pega team (consisting of developers and administrators) to understand the development requirements and challenges and create architectures that addresses those challenges and enables rapid development.
  • Develop architectures that allow for solutions across multiple parts of the Pega platform.
  • In addition, you will determine and implement solutions for new features, capabilities, and tools integrations with Pega to address key system requirements defined by the client.
  • Full stack development or developing automated solutions

  • Integrations and REST API automation
  • Agile development practices (e.g. SAFE, Scrum)
  • Automated testing and deployment using various tools like Deployment Manager
  • Business analysis and design
  • Server/infrastructure administration
  • Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, UAT and production deployment
  • Collaborate and team with clients, partners, and Pega team on client sites with a continuous focus on Customer Success
  • Provide support and technical governance focused on one or more projects at a single client
  • Impact functional strategy by developing new solutions, processes, standards, or operational plans that position client competitively in the marketplace with best practices.
