About The Position

The Peer Tutoring Advisor is responsible for overseeing a regular schoolwide peer tutoring program at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School (SPFHS). This program is designed to supplement, but not replace, extra-help sessions with teachers, and aims to deepen educational equity by providing tutoring for students at no cost.

Requirements

• NJ Instructional Certification
• Eligibility for a county substitute certificate if a certified applicant is not available

Responsibilities

• Oversee the peer tutoring program at SPFHS
• Ensure the program supplements extra-help sessions with teachers
• Promote educational equity through tutoring services
