About The Position
The Peer Tutor - Technical for Nursing will facilitate learning as a guide and coach to assist students in developing academic learning competencies to become successful, independent learners. The tutor will expose students to effective study and learning strategies and may employ those and other strategies in their tutoring. The Peer Tutor - Technical may be asked to participate in different types of tutoring, to include but not limited to: one-on-one, drop-in, group, and/or virtual tutoring sessions. The tutor may also serve as an Embedded Tutor, Peer-Assisted Learning Leader, Academic Mentor, or Learning Community Ambassador if requested and if qualifications for those roles are met. Subject to the tutor's own availability and agreement, the Peer Tutor - Technical may be invited to work at additional campus locations.
