Peer Tutor/Peer-Assisted Learning Leader/Undergraduate Writing Commons Tutor
About The Position
Minimum Qualifications Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 Grade of “B” or higher in the courses you wish to tutor or work as a PAL Leader. Must have completed at least one semester undergraduate of college-level coursework at Ohio University. Must be available to work 6 – 12 hours every week for the entire semester. Preferred Qualifications Previous tutoring or teaching experience. Currently enrolled at Ohio University. Qualified to tutor or lead PAL sessions for 1000- & 2000-level courses in one or more academic subject areas. Work Schedule The Academic Achievement Center hours for all programs during the fall, spring, and summer semesters are: Mondays – Thursdays from 11 am to 8 pm, Fridays from 11 am to 5 pm, Sundays from 4 pm to 8 pm. Peer Tutors, PAL Leaders, and undergraduate Writing Commons Tutors must be available to work during these hours of operation.
