About The Position

Transform Lives Through Shared Experience and LeadershipThe Centers is seeking a Peer Support Supervisor to lead our team of Peer Support Specialists at our new Behavioral Health Crisis Center (BHCC) opening in September. Many people who come to us may feel scared, lost, or unsure of what to do next. At the BHCC, they will find caring staff who listen without judgment, help them feel safe, and support them as they take their next steps. This role is more than a job—it's an opportunity to use your lived experience with mental health, drugs, or alcohol challenges to guide, mentor, and empower a dedicated crisis intervention team. About the Role: As Peer Support Supervisor, you'll oversee a team providing emotional and practical support to individuals experiencing mental health crises. You'll combine your personal recovery journey with leadership expertise to create an environment where both staff and clients can thrive.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred)
  • Certified Peer Support Specialist credential
  • Peer Supervisor credential
  • BLS certification
  • Valid Ohio driver's license with appropriate insurance
  • Lived experience of mental health/substance use challenges with demonstrated recovery
  • Supervisory or mentorship experience in behavioral health

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop a team of Peer Support Specialists in crisis intervention
  • Coordinate care plans for clients with mental/behavioral health needs
  • Collaborate with mental health professionals, counselors, and medical staff
  • Monitor program effectiveness and implement best practices
  • Advocate for clients to access affordable, appropriate care
  • Connect individuals with community resources and supportive services
