About The Position

As a Peer Support Specialist with Pyramid Healthcare’s ACTT team, you will use your lived experience in recovery to empower and support clients as they work toward independence and stability. You’ll collaborate closely with clinicians, nurses, case managers, and other team members to deliver holistic, recovery-oriented care throughout the community.

Requirements

• Peer Support Specialist Certification (North Carolina)
• High School Diploma or GED
• 21 years of age or older
• Valid NC Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery-based peer support, mentorship, and advocacy to clients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate individualized care
• Assist in developing, implementing, and updating treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation including medical records, releases, and discharge plans
• Facilitate or arrange transportation to appointments and community resources
• Design and lead social and educational groups to promote recovery and wellness
• Participate in crisis intervention, after-hours assessments, and hospital diversion efforts as needed
• Assist with documentation of daily team meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
