POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a full-time Peer Support Specialist for our Behavioral Health Urgent Care. This position will work five (5), eight (8) hour shifts per week, within current programming hours, including rotating weekends and holidays. The current program hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 p.m., and weekend hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. General Statement: Under the direction of the Program Supervisor, performs responsible tasks in providing comprehensive services to Genesee Health System clients in the designated program, designed to meet the individualized needs of the clients. Services may relate to housing, entitlements, skill building and ongoing peer support; responsible for significant liaison and consultation with family, agencies, guardians and natural support systems. Provides activities in partnership with the clients served for the specific purpose of achieving increased community inclusion and participation, independence and productivity.
