About The Position

Come join our new and innovative Mobile Crisis Team! Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is currently seeking a Full-Time Third Shift Peer Support Specialist. Hourly rate for Crisis Service Peer Support Specialist with Certification by DMHA as a Certified Peer = $17/hour Hourly rate for Crisis Service Peer Support Specialist with NO Certification = $16/hour Third Shift Differential: $1/hour WHY WORK FOR SOUTHWESTERN? WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR? Peer Recovery services, which include but are not limited to crisis intervention, community outreach and engagement. Observe the progress client’s make toward meeting objectives and provide feedback to clients and treatment providers. Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of professionals. Interact positively by phone and in person with individuals experiencing acute crisis. Establish rapport using your personal experience as a person in recovery.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certification as a Certified Peer Support Professional preferred. Eligibility to receive certification required.
  • To qualify for the CPSP, please visit: FSSA: DMHA: Indiana Certified Peer Support Professionals
  • Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Must have valid driver's license, auto insurance that meets the Indiana State minimum coverage requirement and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance.
  • Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks and drug screen.
