About The Position

Come join our new and innovative Mobile Crisis Team! Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is currently seeking Part-Time Peer Support Specialists for all shifts. Hourly rate for Crisis Service Peer Support Specialist with NO Certification = $16/Hour Hourly rate for Crisis Service Peer Support Specialist with Certification by DMHA as a Certified Peer = $17/hour WHY WORK FOR SOUTHWESTERN? WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR? Peer Recovery services, which include but are not limited to crisis intervention, community outreach and engagement. Assist clients in articulating personal goals for recovery and determining treatment objectives. Observe the progress clients make toward meeting objectives and provide feedback to client and treatment providers. Use personal life experiences as a recipient of services to model recovery and establish trusting relationships with clients. Collaborate with the team to support a culture where experiences and preferences are recognized, understood, and respected.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certification as a Certified Peer Support Professional preferred. Eligibility to receive certification required.
  • To qualify for the CPSP, please visit: FSSA: DMHA: Indiana Certified Peer Support Professionals
  • Work Schedule: Availability for any shift including weekends.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Must have valid driver's license, auto insurance that meets the Indiana State minimum coverage requirement and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance.
  • Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks and drug screen.
