About The Position

We are currently seeking a passionate Peer Support Specialist to join our School-Based Wraparound with Intensive Services (SB-WISe) program—a dynamic, school-based model designed to provide personalized support to youth and families. SB-WISe is committed to helping Medicaid-eligible individuals enrolled in PK-12 public schools, along with their families, manage complex emotional and mental health needs within their homes and communities. You’re a Great Fit If You Have: Minimum High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred. Has completed, or has the ability to complete, specialized training through Washington State HCA in becoming a Certified Youth or Family Specialist. Dual certification preferred. Minimum one year experience working and/or volunteering directly with youth. Ability to successfully pass background check. Must be 21 years or older. Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for employment. New employees with out-of-state licenses must obtain a Washington State Driver’s License within 30 days of employment

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Participates as a member of the treatment team providing outreach, engagement and support of on-going services to enrolled youth and families.
  • Utilizes personal experiences of recovery to provide youth or families guidance and support in their own recovery.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure families have access to crisis services 24/7. This may include phone support and in-person response.
