About The Position

Lumera Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and reliable Peer Support Specialist to support clients in accessing behavioral health services and maintaining engagement in care. This role involves providing peer-based support, assisting clients with transportation to and from scheduled programming, and helping foster a welcoming and supportive treatment environment.
The Peer Support Specialist will work closely with the clinical team to encourage participation in services and promote recovery-oriented care.

Requirements

• Lived experience with recovery and the ability to support others in their recovery journey
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Nice To Haves

• Certified Peer Support Specialist preferred
• Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Associate (CADCA I or II) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide peer-based support and encouragement to individuals engaged in behavioral health treatment
• Assist with transportation of clients to and from scheduled groups or appointments within the local service area
• Help facilitate psychoeducational groups under the direction of clinical staff
• Support client engagement and participation in treatment programming
• Assist in maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for clients
• Collaborate with the care team to support client needs and promote recovery goals
• Perform other supportive duties that contribute to the overall client care experience
