About The Position
The Peer Support Specialist is responsible for providing leadership to the peer support program and the coordination and delivery of health promotion initiatives in alignment with LCMC Health's strategy. Provides individual and group support to physicians, nurses and ancillary staff experiencing distress at work following adverse patient/workplace events and other stress related to the workplace or patient care. Implements assessment plans to determine support needs specific to LCMC Health system and develops cross system initiatives designed to reduce stigma of seeking help while promoting behaviors conducive to creating a culture of wellness and support within LCMC. This role would service employees, providers, contractors anytime during work hours. These hours can vary.
