About The Position

The Program Coordinator is responsible for program development and compliance with all grant requirements for the Recovery Community Center to individuals recovering from substance use or co-occurring disorders. Meet all county, state, and federal regulations. Schedule is full time. This person reports to the Peer Support Program (PSP) Manager.

Requirements

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalency
  • Be in recovery from an addiction or co-occurring disorder for a minimum of two years
  • Supervisory experience is essential
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to work as a part of a team are necessary
  • Ability to respect individual choice in the recovery process and a commitment to recovery through the recovery oriented system of care initiative (ROSC)
  • A good driving record and car are also essential
  • Be familiar with treatment and community resources in Baltimore County that support recovery from addictive disease and co-occurring disorders
  • Have no current criminal justice system involvement
  • Must have or complete ADAA-approved Peer Specialist core training no later than one year from date of hire to obtain or maintain CPRS and RPS certifications
  • Complete Boundaries and Ethics training within the first month of employment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage people and foster teamwork
  • Must possess technology skills to be adept on utilizing the computer and various apps in daily job duties

Responsibilities

  • Utilize ROSC to develop innovative recovery support services for success
  • Assure conformance with all applicable grant, local, state and federal regulations
  • Monitor budget and spending within grant guidelines
  • Provide safe, supportive and welcoming environment to Center participants
  • Conduct peer satisfaction surveys as required by current outcome measures and submit results to the Baltimore County Bureau of Behavioral Health (BBH) as requested
  • Develop services incorporating the peer satisfaction survey results
  • Collect data and submit quarterly reports to BBH
  • Establish and serve on the RCC Advisory Committee
  • Participate in monthly BHAC meetings
  • Meet outcome measures as required by BBH
  • Act as liaison between internal and community resources and services
  • Oversee daily operations and program coverage and provide 1:1 to peers
  • Motivate staff to provide highest quality of services
  • Responsible for staff hiring, development and supervision
  • Utilize computer systems for external/internal communication, and review and final verify Time and Attendance in the Payroll system and program reporting
  • Share expertise with other Prologue Programs
