Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with substance‑use populations
  • Ability to obtain a Peer Specialist certification within 90 days
  • Must be a current or former client (or family member of a client) of mental health services
  • Organizational skills and creative problem‑solving
  • Crisis-intervention knowledge
  • Ability to observe, document, and report client progress
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to perform light physical work
  • Basic computer skills
