About The Position

Join Our Team as a Peer Support Mobile Responder! Are you passionate about helping people in times of need? Do you thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy making a real difference in your community? Prairie View is looking for dedicated Peer Support Mobile Responders to provide compassionate, professional support to individuals experiencing urgent behavioral health challenges. As a Peer Support Mobile Responder, you’ll be the friendly, professional face responding to individuals in crisis—both in the community and in their homes. Your role will include: Providing crisis intervention services and support for patients and families. Helping patients access community resources and develop safety and recovery plans. Collaborating with law enforcement, EMS, hospitals, and Prairie View staff to ensure safety and effective care coordination. Engaging patients in strength-based, recovery-focused activities. Documenting interventions, attending meetings, and maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Supporting individuals of all ages, from children to adults, across a variety of community settings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to observe non-verbal cues and assess situations effectively
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and varied schedules
  • Valid Kansas driver’s license and insurable through Prairie View
  • Ability to work physically with patients when needed (bending, kneeling, etc.)
  • Must pass required background checks and physical restraint training
  • Experience in case management and a passion for helping others
