About The Position

Job Summary Community Bridges Inc. values the ongoing employment and development of our peer workforce. The Peer Support Educator will be responsible for assisting in the development of existing peer workforce through various avenues. The Peer Support Educator will work closely with internal departments in the continuing development of CBI’s Peer Certification program. CBI’s goal of Peer Certification is developing a national best practice regarding Peer Certification and ongoing peer training and education. This will include developing a peer training academy to help CBI’s peer workforce develop clinical skills, learn evidence-based practices, learn community resources, recognize burn out and identify self-care techniques as well as understand patient benefits and covered services. The Peer Support Educator will also be responsible for cultivating and maintaining community relationships and proactively seek community-based opportunities to represent/educate and promote the nature of CBI peer programming and services to community stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Highschool diploma or GED required.
  • Recovery from Alcohol or Drugs and/or GMH for equal to or greater than 1 consecutive year required.
  • 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.
  • Experience providing training or education required

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree or higher in a field related to behavioral health preferred.
