The Director I performs advanced (senior level) managerial work, providing direction and guidance in strategic operations and planning with a focus on substance use peer support and recovery programs and services. Work involves establishing the strategic plan, goals, and objectives specific to substance use peer support and recovery; developing policies, procedures, and guidelines that support these services; establishing priorities, standards, and measurement tools for determining progress in meeting recovery and peer support goals; coordinating and evaluating program activities or business functions aligned with these initiatives; and reviewing and approving budgets within departments or divisions to ensure effective resource allocation. Supervises the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
