Under direct supervision, the Peer Specialist Trainee will function as a role model to peers pursuing recovery; exhibiting competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills; serve as an advocate, provide information about peer support in outpatient and inpatient settings. The Peer Specialist Trainee performs a wide range of tasks to assist peers in regaining independence within the community and ownership over their own recovery process.
