About The Position

Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center (COCMHC), Norman, OK is currently recruiting for a Recovery Support Specialist to join their mobile response team. This position performs a wide range of tasks to assist individuals of all ages in crisis in regaining control of their lives and recovery processes. This position requires that the applicant possess the skills to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and interactions with all ODMHSAS staff and consumers. This position provides flexibility, including opportunities for non-standard hours that include generous shift differentials for non-standard hours. Our crisis team helps individuals and communities THRIVE, by supporting individuals in crisis. The THRIVE team works to stabilize crisis, take care of the individuals in crisis by providing help and support where needed. We help individuals to build resilience through interactions and relationships. We recognize the value each person holds and help to prioritize their needs while being mindful of their experiences. Job Type/Salary: Full-time position Senior Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist Salary: $38,000.00 ($18.26/hr) plus benefits! Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist Salary: $34,500.00 ($16.58/hr) plus benefits! Recovery Support Specialist Salary: $30,000.00 ($14.42/hr) plus benefits. FLSA Status: Non-exempt Additional Compensation: Along with our great benefits we also offer addition compensation for working outside of normal business hours! Below is the list of shift differential pay that you can use to boost your hourly pay rate. You can also stack your shift differential pay. For example, working nights on the weekends earns you an extra $6.00 an hour! Evening/Nights - extra $0.50/hr. Weekends – extra $0.75/hr. Holidays – extra $0.75/hr. On-call - $1.00/hr

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrates personal knowledge or advocacy in recovery
  • Ability to become a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (for Recovery Support Specialist position)
  • Currently certified as a Peer Recovery Support Specialist (for Senior Certified and Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist positions)
  • Two years of PRSS experience (for Senior Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist position)
