As a Peer Recovery Coach at Valley Vista , you are the bridge. You’ll use your own journey through behavioral health or addiction challenges to inspire others to define their own path. You will: Be a Partner in Recovery: Engage in meaningful, one-on-one conversations to help members set and reach their own goals. Champion Choice: Ensure every member’s voice and preference is heard and respected through our Recovery-Centered Clinical System (RCCS). Offer Grounding Support: Use your unique perspective to de-escalate crisis situations with empathy, keeping the environment safe and supportive for everyone. Build Community: Lead site-wide events like BBQs, celebrations, and education groups to foster a sense of belonging at Valley Vista. Schedule: Full-Time | Monday - Friday | Shifts: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM Expected starting wage range is $21.00 - $22.52/hour. T elecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements. In partnership with San Diego Behavioral Health Services and the San Diego Housing Commission, Telecare offers onsite supportive and case management services for persons residing at Valley Vista Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH). All referrals to Valley Vista PSH are prioritized and matched by the region’s Coordinated Entry System (CES). Service participation is voluntary and not required to reside at Valley Vista PSH. Telecare works with tenants to engage them in services according to their behavioral health and case management needs. Services are provided throughout the community based on preference: onsite in community space, in your unit, or in the community, if appropriate. These services focus on housing stability and retention, including but not limited to: 1) Outreach and engagement services addressing housing stabilization and case management needs, 2) Behavioral health assessment, screening, care coordination, and referrals for residents at high risk and in need of more intensive behavioral health services to maintain housing, 3) Addressing ongoing behavioral health care coordination needs, and 4) Offering site-wide community integration opportunities (BBQs, celebrations, tenant education, and other groups).
