About The Position

Catholic Charities Maine Behavioral Health Network in Portland is looking to hire a Full Time Peer & Family Support Coordinator. Position Overview: Works collaboratively with all BHN teams to connect individuals and families to Peer & Family Support and Wellness Hub services. Supervises and mentors Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialists (CIPSS). Provides individual and group support, maintains a caseload, and co-facilitates: Client Advisory Committee Step-Down group Alumni groups Oversees daily operations of the Wellness Hub, including scheduling, safety, programming, and group delivery. Supports health, wellness, recovery, creative expression, social connection, and engagement in psychosocial/skill-building groups. Collaborates with clinical staff and peer staff (those with lived experience). Contributes to ongoing program development. Salary: $18–$24 per hour, depending on experience and education. Requirements

  • MHRT/C certification required.
  • CIPSS certification or Peer Recovery Coach credential (can be obtained within 6–12 months of hire).
  • Shall have at least two (2) years of relevant experience working with adults, specifically in a Behavioral Health Home Care Coordination or ACT (case management/clinical case management) capacity.
  • Experience facilitating groups and providing supervision.
  • Knowledge of local community resources.
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with adults with co-occurring disorders, addiction, severe mental illness, and psychosis.
