About The Position

Studies, identifies, measures, and treats hearing disorders and loss. Provide preventive, habilitative, rehabilitative, and adaptive care to both inpatients and outpatients. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the institution as a whole.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree from an accredited program in Audiology.
  • Willingness and ability to deal with children and their families in potentially high stress situations.
  • Understanding of normal child development.
  • Proficient in basic audiometric testing using pediatric test techniques as well as testing of otoacoustic emissions and auditory brainstem response.
  • Good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate of Audiology preferred.
  • Pediatric Audiology experience with a team approach preferred.
  • Cochlear programming experience desired.
  • Experience with fitting and management of pediatric amplification desired.
