About The Position

United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, Pediatrics to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. The Pediatric team is a cohesive, team oriented group. Each nurse cares for up to 6 patients at a time. The team is passionate about making the stay as comfortable as possible for the patient and the family! You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours. ----- Schedule: 12 hour shifts; multiple shifts available. every other weekend Up to $25,000 sign-on bonus

Requirements

A valid RN license
Pediatric experience
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Current NYS RN License

Nice To Haves

Med Surg experience preferred
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.

Responsibilities

Assessing and admitting patients
Keeping a close eye on vital signs and responding when needed
Collaborating with our healthcare crew to provide exceptional patient care
Administering medications as provided by Physician and providing patient and family education
