About The Position

The Director, Pediatrics under the direction of the Administrative Director of Nursing, Nursing Admin is responsible for the management, supervision, and evaluation of patient care with the goal of providing compassionate, coordinated, family-centered care for all patients. The Director, Pediatrics will direct all clinical area personnel to provide safe, high-quality care, using evidence-based practice on a 24-hour basis. The Director, Pediatrics monitors patient outcomes and process measures, develops, implements and evaluates actions for continuous care improvement in the designated clinical area and is responsible for supervision of the Hospital as assigned by the Administrative Director of Nursing, Nursing Admin.

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
  • Conceptualize and articulate a vision for nursing practice for a specific clinical area and translates into action
  • Ability to foster and facilitate collaborative interpersonal relationships
  • Calculate risks associated with an anticipated action
  • Ability to facilitate transitions through sound process improvement methodologies
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflict
  • Willingness to embrace change and manage it effectively
  • Ability to foster and implement team-building strategies
  • Skill in the use of computer systems and related software applications
  • Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions
