About The Position

Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and/or their designee, the Pediatrician is responsible for providing medical services to the pediatric patient population (0 thru 17 years) of Total Health Care.

Requirements

  • Completion of an approved internship program.
  • Completion of at least three (3) years of residency training from an approved accredited program.
  • Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified.
  • Maryland Medical License – State DEA – Federal DEA
  • Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified
  • Current CPR certification
  • COVID Vaccination Required: The Maryland Department of Health issued [https://health.maryland.gov/phpa/Documents/2021.08.018.01%20-%20MDH%20Order%20-%20Amended%20Vaccination%20Matters%20Order.pdf] a directive effective Wednesday, September 1, 2021, employees required to show proof of [a] first dose or single dose of COVID-19 vaccination.” This mandate makes the requirements effective for every healthcare system in the state.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 2 years working in an ambulatory clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete physical examinations in the pediatric population and conduct annual health appraisals.
  • Participate in the provisions of:
  • Perform childcare including EPSDT.
  • Acute Pediatric care.
  • Consultations when needed.
  • Out-patient services for pediatric patients.
  • On-call services as scheduled.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, complete documentation in Medical Records and Encounters within 24 hours of patient encounter.
  • Participate in teaching assignments to students as well as clinical studies as determined by the Medical Director and THC.
  • Participate in all QI Programs including PEER Reviews.
  • Maintain a productivity standard of at least 4000-4200 encounters/year/FTE.
  • Participation in all assigned meetings.
  • Maintain current Licenses.
