About The Position

Responsible for diagnosing and treating infants, children, and adolescents, while focusing on preventive healthcare services. He will conduct routine check-ups, physical exams, and developmental assessments to ensure the health and well-being of patients at all stages of growth and development. Provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, including the diagnosis, treatment, and management of common and complex pediatric conditions. Conduct routine health check-ups, physical exams, and developmental assessments to monitor and promote healthy growth and development. Diagnose and treat illnesses, infections, injuries, and other medical conditions that affect children and adolescents. Prescribe appropriate medications, therapies, and treatment plans tailored to the needs of pediatric patients. Administer immunizations and vaccinations in accordance with current guidelines to promote preventive healthcare. Monitor growth, nutrition, and overall health to ensure the child's physical and emotional well-being. Educate parents and caregivers on various aspects of child health, safety, and development, providing guidance on nutrition, sleep, physical activity, and general health maintenance. Collaborate with pediatric specialists, healthcare providers, and other medical professionals for the management of complex or specialized medical conditions. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Stay informed about the latest advancements in pediatric medicine, including best practices, emerging trends, and updated treatment protocols to provide the highest standard of care.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
  • Completion of Pediatric residency training program
  • An Iowa medical license
  • Ability to obtain staff privileges at Great River Medical Center
